“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the singular most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.”

~ Bessel Van Der Kolk, “The Body Keeps The Score”

summary

It has been the most wonderful thing building a community of people in Colorado that I can trust and rely on beyond film stuff.

To have most of those people on set with me at once was a dream come true. I love days like this one, they’re such a beautiful reminder that life can get better when I put in the inner work.

A couple Kelvin EPOS 300 lights are the stars for this diagram. One, placed inside the room, is bounced off the wall for the key light.

Another, placed outside the room with a modifier, is filling in the shadows in front of the desk and bumping the ratio on our talent a touch.

An Aputure 600d and spotlight rake across the desk for some nice texture, and an incandescent practical keeps that back wall from feeling too boring and blank.
